Harness

The harness is a mechanical device. It is normally fabricated from the rope, cable or webbing hardware, and attached between the stationary and non-stationary objects. Some times safety harnesses are used in combination with a shock absorber. It will help to regulate deceleration when the end of the rope is reached.

Actually, the safety harness is a set of straps and fittings. and, these straps are used for a horse or another animal is fastened to a cart, plow, etc. and is controlled and regulated by its driver. A harness is used as a looped restraint or support.

The harness is classified as different groups depends on the applications which are used for. The different types of harnesses are Bondage harness, Child harness, Climbing harness, pet harness, five-point harness, horse harness, parrot harness, safety harness, windsurfing harness, and the backpack straps of a breathing apparatus.

Here we are talking about the climbing harness. It is an item of climb instrumentality for rock-climbing, abseiling, or alternative activities requiring the employment of ropes to supply access or safety like industrial rope access, working at heights, etc. A harness secures someone to a rope or an anchor purpose.
