8P8C is short for "eight positions, eight conductors", and so an 8P8C modular cable lug (connector or jack) is a modular connector with eight positions, all containing conductors. The connection is maybe most renowned for its use in LAN and wide used on CAT5 cables.

The 8P8C standard cable lugs and jacks look terribly kind of like the plugs and jacks used for FCC's registered jack RJ45 variants, although the specified RJ45 socket is not compatible with 8P8C modular plug connectors.

Cable Lug

It neither uses all eight conductors (but only two of them for wires plus two for connecting a programming resistor) nor does it fit into 8P8C because the true RJ45 is "keyed".

Cable lugs are commonly available all over the world. It is a small element but it is important in the construction fields as well as in organizations.

Cable Lugs

Cable Lugs are used to connect cables and wires to the devices. The connection should be proper always. Otherwise, it can harm people or animals or their surroundings also. Cable lugs are really helpful to make a proper connection.

If you stripped the cable to connect with a device and removed its outer insulated area, then that cable must have a non-insulated dangerous portion. Touching that part while flowing current can make a big loss to humans. Therefore that part must be connected to the device properly. Cable lugs have a part to insert non-insulated area of cables and wires.

It is not easy to connect a bare non-insulated part of cable with a device. the copper wires will scatter then. If it touches any other metallic part of the device can pass the electricity through it. To avoid the scattering of the copper cables, cable lugs are a really important element.
