What is Transformer Breather

The insulating oil of the transformer breather gets heated up, expands and gets expelled out into the conservator tank when the load on the transformer increases or when the transformer under full load. The oil present at the top of the power transformer and subsequently pushes the dry air out of the conservator tank through the silica gel breather  This process is known as breathing out of the transformer.

The air from the atmosphere is drawn into the transformer breather when the oil cools down. This is called the breathing of the transformer. Transformer breathers are helping to avoid the water content from the atmosphere. In power generation industries, many processes required this. So it is helpful to maintain the required moisture content on the atmosphere.

A similar doubt occurred in the use of silica gel with the food products and medical items as a moisture absorber. Silica gel is using directly with the dried fruits and nuts that means they have direct contact with silica gel. This made the same issue. 

Even silica gel can see with the medical items. With some types of tablets. It is a good moisture absorber, therefore to avoid the water content from the tablets, silica gel packets are keeping along with it. If the water content is there, in some medicine they will provide the opposite function. So to avoid it silica gel packets are keeping along with it.

In these two situations, may people had doubts about the safety of silica gel used. But scientifically proved that silica gel is inactive with almost all the products. It is inactive in nature and non-toxic. no chemical reactions will occur along with the use of silica gel in food products as well as medicines.
