Silica Gel - Moisture Absorber

Silica gel is one of the best moisture-absorbing desiccants. Silica gel's high specific area allows it to require up water easily, creating it helpful as a drier (drying agent). Silica gel is usually represented as "absorbing" wetness, which can be applied once the gel's microscopic structure is unnoticed, as in silica gel packs or different products. 

But with chemicals, silica gel removes wetness by adsorbing onto the surface of its varied pores instead of by absorption into the majority of the gel. In chemistry, silica gel is used in chromatographic techniques as a stationary medium. In chromatography, the stationary phase is most frequently composed of silica gel.

Generally, silica desiccants are treating as a non-active chemical agent. Therefore it can be used as a good option for absorbing excess water content from any closed surroundings to keep the products safe.
