Silica Gel Moisture Absorber
Everybody knows that silica gel is a good moisture absorber. It is used in many industrial applications. As a harmless product, the requirement is high. Even we can use it in the kitchen also. It is not active with other products. And non-toxic also.
Maybe you will think like if silica gel is a non-toxic product then why it is mentioned as "Do not eat - Throw away". It is 100% non-toxic - no doubt on it. However, it is not an edible item, so better we have to throw it.
But wait!!! don't throw it away. Because it has a lot of advantages in our daily life. Therefore if you found a silica gel packet along with your new shoebox, or medicine bottle or in the laptop bag, do not think about to throw it.
Another name of the silica gel packet is the desiccant packet. Keep a desiccant packet with your knife box to avoid rust on it. because every time when we use a knife it will be wet. So the chances are high to get corrosion. To avoid this the best way is to wipe the excess water with a cotton cloth and keep it with a silica gel packet in a closed box.
