Cable Tags and Cable ID printers

We all are familiar with cable tag and cable ID printers. They are the different types of identification methods for cables and wires. Daily we are dealing with many different purposes cables and wires. Sometime in our office, we will be stuck with lots of wires. To troubleshoot any one of the electric devices we need to check all the connected wires. 

Marking we can be done by using different cable marking methods such as we can print on it by using cable ID printers or we can put a cable tag by entering the name. To solve the problems such as looking into each and every cable in the time of troubleshooting, we need to do marking on it.

Generally, cable tags are used to hold the cables or wires together by avoiding movements. We can see the all-purpose cable tags in the supermarkets to tie the mouth of the covers. In this way, they can make sure that customers are not stealing anything to the covers.

Once we tied with the cable tags, it cannot be removed easily. Either we need remover or we need to cut it. But in the identification system, cable tags are used not only to tie the cables and wires together but also these cable tags will help us to mark the name of the devices which is connected to the specific cable or the purpose of the cable. For this cable tags with marking areas are available.

We can directly write on the cable tag stickers with a pen or markers. It is a simple method. We can use it or remove it at any time. But if we are looking for an easy way for the identification, it is applicable. But unfortunately, it is not a good choice for a long term application.

Cable ID printers are different from this. We can go with this method if we need a solution for a long time. The printers are a little bit costly while comparing to the cable tagging method. But it worth it. Because the print on the cables is really long-lasting and reliable.
