Chemical Etching Process

Chemical etching is an engraving technique that removes material from metal by using a high-pressure, high-temperature chemical spray to leave a permanently etched image. To create the desired picture, a mask, also known as a resist, is put to the material's surface and then selectively removed, exposing the metal. 

By heating the solution and applying high pressure while spraying, a chemical etching machine accelerates the corrosive reaction between the material and the chemical. In order to etch the material atom by atom and provide a smooth, burr-free finish, the chemical spray dissolves the exposed metal sections.

All surface impurities are eliminated from the material through cleaning in chemical etching process. After that, the material is laminated using a photoresist film that is UV sensitive. The required artwork is inserted in a picture tool and placed on top of the laminated material. After that, UV light is exposed to it.  The photo tool's clear sections allow UV light to flow through, hardening the laminated film.
