Cable ties are a common element that we can see every day in our life. They have different uses. Cable ties are available in different sizes, types, colors, and with different materials. Earlier we were using plastic cable ties for most of the applications. But after the introduction of stainless steel cable ties from Band-IT, many of the plastic cable tie applications are replaced with the stainless steel cable ties. Because they are very durable.

In 1958 by an electrical manufacturing company in America was first invented and patented cable ties, they are Thomas & Betts company. They have introduced the cable ties under the brand name 'Ty-Rap'. The cable ties' basic design has been changed since they were first created. Initially, they were designed for airplane wire harnesses.

For tying bundles of cables together a normal, nylon cable tie is enough. But it can also be used for securing wires to poles or other devices as well as tying wires and cables to the frames of bicycles or unruly plants to garden fences. UV protected black cable ties are giving more strength.
