Cable Cleats and Clamps

Cable cleats can be used to provide security to the wires and cables while installing them at intervals throughout the length of cables. They can provide resistance to electromechanical forces. It can be used to fix, clamp and support cables and wires.

Effective short circuit protection can be provided by cable cleats, to secure electrical installations, it can give support and retention to LV, MV & HV power cable systems when installed at intervals to circuits. Cable cleats should be installed at a distance of 300mm, CMP recommends it as a guide to good practice that throughout the changes in direction this meter is required. This distance is not possible in some cases because of the lack of substructure, in that cases as an alternative to cable cleats intermediate restraints are recommended.
