EJP is an Indonesian company. Band-IT started to provide the solution to EJP, however, after some time their customers expect their investment to pay off in reliability. This expectation extends all the way down to the Band-IT clamps. Then EJP decided to stop business with Band-IT. The customer experience they delivered suffered - a direct result of the increased failure of the clamps when EJP changed from BAND-IT to a cheap fastener made in China.

The clamps made in China will be less in price, but the quality also will be less for some items. Band-IT clamps provide the best quality to use in all the climate changes and harsh environments. Especially if we need high quality and standard items, we can't approach China-made products.

He had advised them about the possibility of non-reputable Chinese companies may supply low quality. It really happened to them. The material they paid for did not meet their requirements.

They realized the issue and continued with BAND-IT again. Subsea downhole oil extraction is different from convention drilling because of most of the energy required to transport the produced fluid is supplied by mechanical means rather than by reservoir pressure. That puts more “pressure” on ESP systems. Any time the system needs maintenance or repair, production is interrupted, and the well isn’t generating oil or revenue.
