In ancient times water was lifting from rivers or wells to the places that we need it. It was a difficult job when we need a big quantity of water.

Therefore the invention of the pulley was really helpful for those people. It was originally used to lift buckets of water. Nowadays, pulleys can be found everywhere to help make tasks easier. apart from lifting things, pulleys can be used as single or pairs working together in order to transport people or things.
